AutoLoga (“we”, “us”) is operated by Driven Autocare Pty Ltd (ABN 50 677 682 996). It is a vehicle maintenance logbook service for Australian drivers, fleets and workshops. This policy explains how we handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
We use invoice amounts (from invoices you upload and invoices workshops send to AutoLoga) to build anonymised repair price ranges shown in Loga Mate. We keep only the repair category, price, month, general area (region from the workshop or your postcode) and car make, model, year range and type — never your name, contact details, rego, VIN or invoice number. Prices are shown only as ranges for groups of at least 5 invoices from at least 3 different workshops, so no single person or workshop can be identified.
If you choose to scan an odometer, invoice or receipt, the photo (or PDF) you select can be sent to AI services provided by Google (Gemini) and OpenAI, through our infrastructure provider Vercel (AI Gateway), to read the text and numbers in it. The image may include personal details such as your name, number plate or ABN. We ask for your explicit permission before the first photo is sent; you can change your choice any time in Account. If you decline, we use basic on-server text recognition instead and nothing is sent to AI providers. Photos are not used by us to train AI models and the AI result is stored only as the record fields you save.
If you upload a photo of your own car, we can remove its background so the car stands on your dashboard. With your separate, explicit permission, that photo is sent to an AI image model provided by Google (Gemini), through our infrastructure provider Vercel (AI Gateway), which returns the car on a plain background. The photo may show your number plate and its surroundings. It is not used by us to train AI models. We keep your original photo and store the processed cutout alongside it; both are deleted when you remove the photo, delete the vehicle or delete your account. If you decline, your photo is shown as uploaded (or processed on your device) and nothing is sent to an AI provider. You can change your choice any time in Account, and switch between the cutout and your original photo on the vehicle page.
Loga Mate includes a limited number of free questions each month, with more on paid plans. It lets you describe a car problem by typing (or dictating with your keyboard’s microphone) and, optionally, adding a photo of a warning light. With your separate, explicit permission, the message you write, the photo (if any) and basic details of the car you choose (year, make, model, odometer and the types and dates of recent services — never your name, number plate or VIN) are sent to AI services provided by Google (Gemini) and OpenAI, through our infrastructure provider Vercel (AI Gateway), to write a short answer. Anything you type or photograph is sent, so please don’t include personal details. These providers don’t use the content to train their models for us, and we never store the photo. We keep the conversation text and AI answer in your account so you can reopen it; you can delete any chat, and chats are deleted when you delete the car or your account. “Save to car history” shows a short summary to the people you’ve shared that car with. You can also record a short sound or video clip (up to about 20 seconds) of the problem; it is sent only to get the answer and is never stored. Loga Mate gives general guidance only and is not a mechanic’s diagnosis. If you decline, nothing is sent and you can still book a service. You can change your choice any time in Account.
You can invite other people to a car (or all your cars) with a link or code — no email is sent. Drivers can add trips, fill-ups and expenses (shown with their name); view-only people can only look. Members can see the cars shared with them and the entries they or others added to those cars, never your other cars or account details. You can remove anyone at any time, and people can leave. If a member deletes their account, entries they added to your cars stay with you without their name.
You can permanently delete your account and associated data (vehicles, maintenance records, invoices and photos, expenses, logbook trips, bookings, links and family sharing) at any time in the app or on the website: Account → Delete account (workshops: Workshop profile → Delete account). We send no email when you do this. App Store subscriptions must be cancelled in iPhone Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions.
